Wayne Karpoff, a serial entrepreneur, is President of Willowglen Systems Inc., an Edmonton based company that provides a wide range of SCADA technology that powers pipelines, subway systems, heavy rail systems and other mission-critical infrastructure the world. Previously, Wayne founded YottaYotta Inc. (now part of Dell/EMC), developer of advanced distributed storage solutions. Prior to YottaYotta, Wayne was president of the Canadian supercomputer company Myrias Computer Technologies Inc. Wayne sits on the boards and advisory boards of several small Canadian companies.
Wayne has a long tradition of serving on community and industry boards. Currently, Wayne is the Chair of TEC Edmonton, past Chair of Technology Alberta and other boards of Capital Road (Banff Venture Forum, Canadian Finance Forum, Propel Energy Forum) the Edmonton-Calgary Innovation Corridor, and the Information Technology Association of Canada. Historically, Wayne has served on dozens of community boards, university boards, and government advisory boards.
Wayne has a M.Sc. in Computing Science and is an inventor on numerous awarded patents.
