Marianne West

The Future Project Manager…What’s in Store?

Over her 30+ year career, Marianne has enjoyed challenging roles as a Project Manager, Methodology/Process Developer and Implementer and (the craziest one) a Records Manager who literally crawled through every provincial jail in Alberta to locate, assess and remove government documents dating back to the early 1900s. Her project team members were inmates!

After working in both public sector (all three levels) and private sector (local and global companies) for all those years and wanting a new challenge earlier this year Marianne started a new company, Syzygy Consulting Group Inc. Just like her company name, Syzygy (the alignment of planets), she’s helping organizations get their organizational “planets” aligned by providing senior management consulting, business analysis and project management services, consulting and training.

Marianne has also been an avid volunteer for many not-for-profit organizations including PMI where she’s served at the global and local level.
