You asked for change, well here it is! The PMI Northern Alberta Chapter has taken your feedback from past annual conferences and applied it to create an improved 2018 conference experience. It’s time to be bold, be moved, and be the change so that you can continue to deliver value to your employers and clients.

We all know that change is hard, but change also leads to positive growth. That’s why we put together this list of 6 Reasons Why Change is Good for You at the PMINAC Conference 2018.

1. You Can Earn More PDUs

We know how important Professional Development Units are to project managers, and we know how hard it can be to find the perfect balance of required PDUs. The conference program was carefully designed to provide you with PDUs in a variety of PMI Talent Triangle categories. We encourage you to check out our interactive program on the website to select the sessions that meet your needs!

2. You Can Increase Your Knowledge

We have worked hard to put together a high-quality program with relevant topics and expert speakers. At this year’s conference, you will get a chance to learn from the people who know it best – project management professionals just like you! Our roster of professionals and expert speakers will allow you to learn more about a variety of different topics.

 3. You Are Pushed Outside of Your Comfort Zone

It’s good to be uncomfortable! The conference allows you to meet over 400 professionals in the field of project management. This is your opportunity to network with the person sitting beside you in a session or meet company representatives at one of the sponsor booths. The conference also offers a Cocktail Reception at the end of the first day so that you can mix and mingle with other delegates!

4. You Are Exposed to Current Industry Trends

Sometimes it’s easy to be stuck in your own routine or way of thinking. Attending the conference allows you to be exposed to other perspectives and industry trends. Come join us and learn about the latest methodologies, tips and tricks, and even bounce ideas off of the person sitting next to you. The conference offers many opportunities for collaboration and shared learning.

5. You Receive a Sense of Belonging

Attending the Chapter’s largest event of the year is a sure-fire way to meet new people and receive a genuine sense of belonging. PMINAC has over 1,700 active members and many of them attend the conference to network and continue to be involved in the community. The Board of Directors will also be in attendance to get to know the members and conference delegates. I encourage you to attend to be part of this fantastic project management community!

6. You Feel Empowered to Take Action

The conference program was designed to showcase applicable and relevant case studies. Once you hear other success stories or important lessons-learned from other projects, you will be inspired to apply what you learned right away! We hope we can empower you to take action by being bold in your creativity and being open to change!
